SUMMER SERVICES

 Continuation of speech and language services is an important part of the therapeutic process towards achieving and sustaining academic gains.  Children often experience the “summer slide” when they return to school in September if they did not have an opportunity to continue strengthening their skills in their area of need.  At FisherSLI, we recognize the importance of uninterrupted speech-language services and offer summer sessions in both New York City and for families traveling out to the Hamptons. For families traveling outside of the city for the summer, we try our very best to continue services with the same speech-language pathologist the child was working with throughout the school year.  However; if this is not possible, we try to assign a new speech-language pathologist who can pick up the case during the summer months.
